In 1991, Sherri fell in love with the golden retriever with the purchase of her first dog
"Rightchoices Coor's Light" aka "Alli".
Having been a long-time competitor in obedience with her German Shepherds, and a veterinarian technician by trade, Sherri set out to breed quality, versatile Goldens, the way they were intended to be: excellent family companions, always by your side, entertaining, dedicated, tolerant and "FETCH-A-HOLICS".
Maplelane puppies are home-raised with imprinting exercises beginning at
2 weeks of age. All breeding stock have been screened for hip dysplasia, eye
and heart abnormalities as well as
Von Willebrand Disease
and thyroid conditions.
Maplelane offers a 3 year health guarantee and all puppies leave our kennel on non-breeding agreements. We can't stress enough how important your feedback is to us regarding our puppies. By staying in touch, your comments and concerns help us to produce the quality puppies Maplelane is so well-known for. To help stay in touch, we offer boarding facilities with heated indoor/outdoor runs, and many open paddocks to romp and play. Fee is $16.00 per night. You may have your dog groomed while boarding. We offer obedience training and specialized behaviour training as well.
Our breeding stock are also competitive dogs with many holding titles in conformation, obedience, field, agility, flyball, canine "Good Neighbour Testing" and several
St. John's Ambulance Therapy dogs. Sherri is a certified evaluator for the CKC's K-9 Good Neighbour test and is working towards her certification as a Master Detection Dog Trainer.
